J-Term Blog: Our trip to Nicaragua!
SAM PARDO ’23 NICARAGUA J-TERM BLOG #1
We have been staying on Ometepe, an island comprised of two volcanoes.
Half of us have been working in clinics giving medical aid to people on the island, while the other half have been working to help build a tank to bring water to those on the south side of the island.
Since being here, we have kayaked Lake Nicaragua, climbed the active stratovolcano, Concepción, and done plenty of sightseeing.
It has been both an amazing and eye-opening experience having had the opportunity to immerse ourselves in the Nicaraguan culture.
